The two most likely reasons are that the products have been previously owned, or they are new products being sold by a company that is not an authorized retailer. Why is that important? In most cases, purchasing sterling silver flatware from a company that isn't an authorized retailer will void your warranty. You may have great difficulty in getting assistance with a quality issue if the manufacturer won't take calls from the retailer, and the manufacturer likely won't take your call either. Also, your silverware may take longer to receive, since the unauthorized retailer has to wait for their supplier to get the items from another middleman, and then finally ship it to you. We understand your dilemma. You'd still like the lower price, but these are big issues to overcome. We'll make it easy for you and we will give you the lower price that the unauthorized retailer is offering.
