Patterns made in the United States Unfortunately, there are no stainless steel flatware patterns manufactured in the USA any longer, since Oneida closed their last factory in December 2004. Over the years, pressure from retailers have created a situation whereby the products we buy must be available at a lower cost. For example, the trend lately is for stores to offer a stainless steel flatware service for 12 to hit the "$99 price", which makes it nearly impossible to have them made in the U.S., and manufacturers began sending nearly all of this work overseas. Because the manufacturers change factories frequently, it's difficult to post the country of origin online for each pattern. Please email us for the country of origin of the particular patterns you are interested in by sending an email to mail@silversuperstore.com. If you want to avoid stainless steel flatware patterns made in China, you can view our page devoted to Not Made In China. Right now, the only flatware that is made in the USA is sterling silver flatware. |
