What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

French Countryside dishes are timeless and beautiful. Shipment was packaged well and everything arrived in perfect condition. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a touch of simple elegance.

We bought these (the whole set) 20+ years ago and loved them. But over time they were showing normal wear. We loved them so much we ordered enough to replace our daily worn pieces. I am so DISAPPOINTED. They are thicker and heavier and have worn in 9 months of use what the original set worn in 10 + years of use. Looks like we will need to replace soon and will not buy Mikasa again.
These dishes are the perfect weight (especially for stacking on higher shelves!). They are classic—can be formal mixed with patterns of fine china or informal with many of the contemporary and/or trendy stoneware pieces. Love the mugs!
