What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

I am so happy we purchased this flatware, the satin finish is beautiful and looks as good as the day we bought it. We have used this flatware continuously for over a week now and put it in the dishwasher at least 3 times with no issues. The pieces feel good in the hand and I love the way the knife stands on a plate or table. The flatware was packaged well and includes 5 serving pieces, great value. I am thinking of buying the matching steak knives but they are not in the satin finish.
Quality above every other company ever purchased
I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but it was a wedding gift and it is beautiful! The satin finish is flawless and I love how the knife stands up and doesn’t roll over so that the sharp edge is up.
