What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

My niece received this cutlery large set for her wedding. I could not figure out why anyone would need this many knives. She was quick to explain. She and her new husband both love to cook together. So there are plenty of knives for them to be using at the same time. The chef and santoku or both paring knives. The wanted a cleaver and this block actually has a slot for the cleaver. They needed a boning knife. They knew they needed steak knives and 8 are included. She was able to justify each piece in the set. I was impressed. She convinced me. It's a great line. Comfortable handles, really sharp. They are off to a good start.
Knives are heavy and sturdy, my wife and I received this as a wedding gift to upgrade our pioneer woman Walmart set and the quality of this knife set is amazing. The block is long so it has to go in a corner if you have smaller counters but it’s perfect for us!
I wanted to make a one time purchase. This complete set has all of my needs met from paring and prep all the way up to the slicing knives. The Four Star design is a classic. The handles are very comfortable and the texture of the handles give me confidence in my grip as I am cutting. The forged German steel and made blades are very strong and hold an edge for a very long time. When its time to sharpen they are very easy to maintain. The steak knives are also great. Basically they are smaller versions of the boning knife, going through the same process as all of the other knives. The straight blade rather than serrated style allows them to cut and not tear food an also be sharpened when the time comes.
Four Star knives are one of Zwilling’s best collections. The high carbon stainless steel cuts through anything with ease. Thanks to Zwilling’s patented forging and ice hardening processes, you get exceptionally sharp and durable knives, making them stand out against other German knives. The Four Star knives are on the lighter side, which is great if you are cutting for long extended periods of time, or if you need a light knife for arthritis, etc.. I’ve been using my henckels for more than 20 years and also bought a set for my daughter and for my and son when they got their own places that’s how satisfied I am with henckels and today I bought their cleaver .
This block has everything knife you need in a kitchen. Four Star knives are made from German Special Formula Steel and forged from one piece of steel so durable for a lifetime. The knives are also ice hardened which translates to the blade starting sharp and staying sharper longer. The handles are lighter weight that other Zwilling German knives so a nice option from heavy handles. The block has a boning knife and full size santoku which never come in blocks, 8 steak knives too!
