What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

Received these set of knives off my wedding registry and I am pleasantly surprised. I’m also upgrading my previous knife set, which was a cheap pair. I got from Walmart back in my college days so needless to say these dwelling knives are not super freaking sharp, but make my life easier in the kitchen and look, how compact and how easy it is to hold the knives 10 out of 10 would recommend
I have not used each knife yet. I tested the 4” paring knife on a lemon that I had used to squeeze juice from - 4 days ago, so it was very soft from being in the fridge. My old knife wouldn’t city through without me piercing the peel, but THIS KNIFE?! It cut through like butter!!! I barely touched my finger to the sharpened edge and could feel that the first layer of skin was sliced a bit (thanks to the lemon juice). These knives are sharp and I’ll be a loyal customer for gifts and upgrades in the future. Love the products. I’ve purchased two sets as gifts in the past, now I’m treating myself.
I traveled to Germany in 2001 when I was introduced to my first Zwilling knife. I was so in love with the quality and feel that I got each one of my siblings an 8” diamond-blade chef’s knife. I must say that before 2020 I rarely cooked at home but the COVID pandemic provided me with that opportunity and I cook almost every night for my family. My siblings and I still have our knives after 20 years and all this time I have been wanting to get my whole knives set; I finally got that chance this christmas.
This knife set was bought for me by my girlfriend for Christmas. I’ll start by saying the knifes are surprisingly light. Each knife comes sharpened very well, and the sharpener included is amazing. The block matches my cabinets, and all of the knives fit. My only complaint is that the smaller knives have very large slots in the block so they slide around. This still receives 5 stars.
