What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

Just upgraded from a Henkel set and am loving it so far. Great value for the variety of pieces you get. The steel is stamped, not forged. It doesn’t come with a Santoku knife, so that will need to be purchased separately. All the knives are made In Germany in my set. Will come back to update the review after having used it for awhile.
If you cook at home your better off getting a good set of knives that will keep a sharp edge. Me and my wife love how many knives come with this set for the price. I always have used two knives to cook the chef's knife and the smaller slicing knife. Now using the other kives for fruits or vegetables cutting is much easier just simply cutting a tomato it used to be so hard to keep it together now I just use the serrated utility knife and the tomato hotds together better for sandwiches or anything else for presentation.handles feel great in the hand gives good control.
The quality of the knives are superb and even the block is amazing! The amazing craftsmanship of these German kitchen knives is just as amazing as Japanese kitchen knives. I love my set!
These knives are beautiful and incredibly sharp! They are very sleek and easy to handle as well.
Bought this set a few months ago and added the Santou knife. I’ve used several of the knives and very impressed how well they cut .. whether it’s vegetables, meat, bread … have worked effortlessly and big change from my other knives. I like that the storage block is not huge and taking up a lot of my limited counter space. This set has everything one would need.
