What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

The Grandeur Flatware Chest from American Chest Company is crafted from solid hardwood with a rich mahogany finish. The chest also features an anti-tarnish lining to keep your silver looking beautiful as part of the dark brown interior. The exterior features antiqued brass sculptured hardware and a brass nameplate which can be engraved. The Grandeur storage chest features a bottom drawer and will hold up to 180 pieces, including 24 knives and 12 butter spreaders. The knife storage inside the lid will accommodate knives up to 8 1/2" long by 13/16 inches wide. The chest itself measures approximately 11 3/4 inches across by 17 inches deep by 7-1/4 inches tall. Flatware not included. This chest is made in the USA!
