What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

The Scalini Table Knife by Fortessa is a solid handle, one-piece knife witha serrated cutting edge. This knife measures 9.5". The Fortessa Scalini stainless steel flatware pattern is a contemporary design with simple embellishments at both the neck and base end of each handle.
This is the older version of this piece with the hallmark perpendicular to the blade. There are no discounts on this discontinued product.
