What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

I got a set of these steak knives may year ago as a gift. We have used them many many times since then and as out children grew and added significant others to the table,I thought Id have to purchase different knives to match. Lo and behold, I found the same knve and to my suprise, the old ones looked almost exactly the same as the new ones. Talk about slasting, they lasted over 20 years in almost the same condition. I admit they were such a good deal , I bout 2 sets anyway but with 12, you cannot tell the old from the new. Kudos, Zwilling!
Great product and customer service. After identifying a small defect in the handle after several years of use, their customer service team sent out a replacement quickly. These knives have really held up well, and I'll be a return customer
Really sharp and nice knives
Bought these knives for my daughter for Christmas in 2016 and she still hand washes and keeps them in there box they came in after every use. She loves these knives. Will try to buy a couple more this year til I get her a complete set.
