What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

My husband’s brother and wife gave us 10 glasses 35 years ago and I loved them. Last year I went crazy and bought a set of 12 Christmas tree dinner plates, 12 stemless wine glasses, 2 serving trays, 7 serving bowls and 7 dessert plates. This year I bought 5 more salad/dessert plates only they were bigger so I bought 7 more!! On a tangent I also bought a Spode Christmas tree comforter and shams this year!!🤪🤪 I just love the design but will somebody please take my credit card away. 🙄🙄
We treasure our Spode collection. It started many years ago with my Mother in Law. We continue to honor the tradition by bringing out the Spode before Thanksgiving through Christmas. I struggle to find pieces we don't have. After all these years, I broke a plate. I am happy to be able to replace it, ensuring that we have enough for the whole family. Thanks
I was slightly disappointed because these new plates are a bit smaller and a tiny bit different than the old ones I inherited from my mother. I don't think it will be noticeable when they're on the table so I kept them.
I needed these to replace a few of my old ones whose green rims had chipped off, and they arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition. Also at a very good price since I bought them post-Christmas!
Love this pattern and collect as many as I can over the years, as my family grows.
