ABOSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!
Beautiful. I bought these for my grandchildren for Christmas. I buy them Lenox items for Christmas every year.
This is a beautiful musical snow globe with a small Nativity inside. Overall I'd give it about a 4.8 or 4.9 of 5. I hope the silver-plated base will not tarnish; I have some concerns for that as it isn't described as anti-tarnish. The melody of the very appropriate song O Holy Night isn't exactly as it's usually played; the end notes go higher instead of lower, but the musical tones are lovely and the song is recognizable. I'd also prefer a halo only over the baby Jesus and not over his parents, but that's a quibble I'll overlook because of the inclusion of shepherds on the base. Shepherds are often inexplicably omitted from many Nativity scenes, but they are an important part of the birth of Christ events. All in all, this is a lovely snow globe celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. I ordered one for each of my grandchildren, who are all young adults. Also note: This product is boxed for gifting and labeled as Reed & Barton, not Lenox. I had presumed it would be marked as a Lenox product, which I'd have preferred. Like many products over the past couple of decades, this is marked Made in China. Also, my order for these was shipped in partial shipments. To answer a couple of posted questions, the snow globe is not lighted and the base does not turn. There is a wind-up mechanism on the bottom to play the musical notes, as with similar musical snow globes. This snow globe is rather heavy for its size and appears to be good quality.
