What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

My husband bought me this set for our 25th wedding anniversary. I absolutely love it. It is simple but elegant. Great for every day and also for a fancier place setting.
I've had this for two years now and it's still shiny like the day I bought even with going through dishwasher. I came to the site looking for replacement pieces for spoons & forks that have gone missing - that's how much I like this set.
I've never had real nice flatware. I splurged and bought this set. I cannot tell you how much I love it. I've had it for about a year and I never pick up a piece without smiling at the weight and feel. Cannot praise them enough.
I bought this set about 4 years ago for everyday use. They have been in the dishwasher, sitting in water for a couple of days before being washed, tossed around by my son..all the things you don't want to subject your flatware too. But..still perfect..no dings, marks etc. Basically look like they just came out of the package.
