What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

Clean, polish and protect your silver from tarnish as hands stay dry and unsoiled. Made of heavy-gauge terry cloth, these gloves are capable of withstanding scores of launderings. Plus, they're quite easy to use since the polish is already on the gloves. We use these gloves in our showroom on a regular basis.
After washing, or as needed, Hagerty Spray Polish may be used with these gloves. The gloves are best for light to moderate tarnish removal.
If you are looking for gloves to simply remove fingerprints or light tarnish, we recommend the Cape Cod Touch Up Gloves.
