What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

Beautiful knife set and block! Well balanced, sharp, and more than enough knives to keep me content for the next decade or two, if not longer! Wish I had purchased this set sooner.
I will have to say that this knive set is beautiful. I do wish the wood color was darker because I personally perfer the cherry color but I wasn't willing to pay the extra $200 for the color. I was disappointed that I had to pay extra to get a det of knives that were actually made and forged in Germany by a German company but I guess. I am also a bit disappointed that the knives fit loose in the slots within the block, it really messes with my OCD. I can't rate the actual usefulness of the knives as of yet since I just received them and have not been able to use them yet. This review is simply based on the aesthetic and overall shopping experience. I am looking forward to using these knives as I love to cook.
I liked all the pieces and the knives off course are the best because this is my second time I got these the original I bought are about 10-12 years old and my family just thought it was time to upgrade. This time they got the double signature. The block is good but in this block the knives fit loosely which I don’t like I wonder why they changed, in my old block they fitted very snugly.
Beautifully made knife set. I’ve always wanted a good knife set and I think I’ve found it. I just need to add the butcher’s knife to complete the set
Really sharp. Made in Germany written on the knifes. Missing one knife, which I’m about to purchase now.
