What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

My first time purchasing anything from Zwilling and I am very impressed. The flatware is very shiny and the weight is perfect. They do not feel cheap and so far take to the dishwasher pretty well. Sometimes they get spotty and I have to wipe them down, otherwise I am very pleased and can’t wait to try more products from Zwilling!
I am well pleased with the quality of this flatware service. Nicely made, with a good weight and smooth feel. No sharp edges as with a lower grade stamped set. Well balanced utensils and very nice serving set included. I searched for a long time for a flatware set with classic lines and high quality; this provides both.
Very elegant , well made! Superior quality! Heavy gauge and weight ! Simply love the set!
My life has shifted a bit so that I will no longer be using my great aunt's sterling silver flatware for every day (yes, I really did use it every day!). Instead, I will be renting my country cottage occasionally for short-term rentals. This means I needed to purchase some flatware. BUT I wanted it to be something that I love for when I'm in this space. Zwilling J.A. Henckels Vintage 1876 18/10 stainless steel fits the bill for me. It feels substantial, looks nice, works perfectly well, and the knives can really cut! I'm very happy with my purchase and appreciate the sale Macy had (which helped make the purchase happen).
