First made in 1899, Buttercup is one of the
most popular sterling silverware patterns, and has a wide variety
of pieces available. Gorham applies a tarnish at the factory
to highlight the many flowers on the handles, so please use a
standard silver polish (not a silver dip) so that this applied
tarnish will continue to make your flowers stand out.

What is the difference
between a
Place Setting and a Dinner Setting?
The only difference is the size of
the main fork and knife, which is slightly larger in the dinner
size. Below are the measurements for this pattern:
Place Fork: 7-1/2"
Place Knife: 9-1/8"
Dinner Fork: 7-1/2" (wider)
Dinner Knife: 9-5/8"
What chest is included
with the
46 and 66-piece sets?
