What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

The flatware is beautiful, shiny, great quality and I love the pattern on the handles. I will keep these for years!
I love the look and the heft of this flatware. It would be perfect except the edges and corners are pretty sharp and dig into your hand. I'm hoping they'll wear down a little with time. My only other complaint would be that the spoons are just a hair too deep. I wouldn't have thought this possible and maybe it's just muscle memory from using other spoons my whole life, but there's always a little left in the spoon after a "bite."
Love this set! Good weight and modern. Great deal for 18/10, which is hard to find. Very shiny so we keep dishwasher on high heat to dry. Like someone else mentioned, the handle ends can feel slightly sharp on palm when holding.
