What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

I spent a lot of time in stores searching for a new set of stainless, but could not find a pattern that I liked for a reasonable price. This pattern meets my needs for a good everyday set that also works well for my formal dinner parties. At first I was disappointed in the knife not having enough weight to it (I really wanted heavy utensils), but have had no complaints at all in use. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and excited that I am able to support American manufacturing.
I bought the Champlin set as a gift. The detail of work on each piece is amazing. The silverware has a nice weight to it without feeling “tinny” or too heavy. Very happy with the purchase and proud to support US manufacturing. This also comes from a “green” facility and is processed without the use of harmful chemicals. Don’t but your silverware from anyone but Liberty!
We purchased a set of 12 a month ago. We are so impressed with quality we are coming back for another service of 8 to add to our service. Anyone who wants the best quality, American made needs to come to Liberty Tabletop.
