What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

Mikasa dinnerware is just BEAUTIFUL!!! I love giving dinner parties and I receive many compliments. I have a set of 16 of Alexandria and a set of 8 French Countryside. I never dreamed I would have gorgeous beautiful dinnerware.
Love the design with a deeper plate. The overall look of all the dishes is classic, understated and lovely.
Casual dinnerware which can also be dressed up!
Love this pattern, but it has been modified over the years. My original service is 25 years old, so I thought that it was time to replace the chipped pieces. They are a little different, but still blend well. The cereal bowls are huge, yet the mugs could be a little larger. Can’t please everyone! 😍
These dishes are the perfect weight (especially for stacking on higher shelves!). They are classic—can be formal mixed with patterns of fine china or informal with many of the contemporary and/or trendy stoneware pieces. Love the mugs!
Due to the rim these do not fit well in a dishwasher. My mom bought a set of these 40 years ago and has been frustrated with their poor fit in a dishwasher ever since. Do not recommend.
