What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

The Mahogany Finished Traditions Flatware Chest from American Chest Company is crafted from solid American cherry hardwood with a rich mahogany finish. The chest also features a brown anti-tarnish lining to keep your silver looking beautiful. The handle of this chest is a brushed silver finish. There is an optional engraved name plate for additional cost and is reccomended that you choose Brushed Aluminum to best match the hardware. The Traditions storage chest will hold up to 150 pieces, including 12 knives and 12 butter spreaders. The knife storage inside the lid will accommodate knives up to 13/16 inches wide. The chest itself measures approximately 11-1/2 inches across by 17 inches deep by 4 inches tall. This chest is made in the USA! Flatware not included.

Definitely a high quality item that should last for generations.
We needed a special present for our daughter who just had some family heirloom silverware restored. She sent this photo once she filled the flatware chest on Xmas morning. "The silver chest is beautiful." I didn't find out this was top of her list until Christmas week, and was assured that it would still be delivered on time, it was.
