What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

We got this in our registry as a wedding gift back in August 2022. So far it’s been fantastic! I love the satin/matte look, and I really love the weight of the forks, spoons, and knives. It’s heavy and balanced, and it feels like expensive cutlery. I have noticed a couple potential scratches that removed the satin/matte, but we also live in a place with hard water. Especially as newly weds, we adore this set and highly recommend!
This flatware set is sturdy, yet light. Handling each piece feels natural and not clunky like some silverware. The shape of the handles and the smoothness of the edges make it very comfortable to eat with. The matte finish and the slender, organic styling of the pieces are lovely and fit well with our home aesthetic. The only real drawback so far is that they don't stack as well as some other flatware sets.
I am so impressed with this entire set, they were affordable beautiful they feel wonderful in your hand, they're weighted perfectly. The knife has a curved handle which is very comfortable to use, and is surprisingly sharp enough to cut a properly prepared steak with. This cutlery set is top notch and looks fabulous on any table. Thank you Zwilling for another wonderful JA Henkel's product to enjoy!
This is my second set of Zwilling flatware that I have purchased. I must say that the quality surpasses most other manufacturers' products as I am still using my first set that I bought 20 years ago. This new set I purchased for my vacation home seems to be just as sturdy and doesn't show fingerprints from my husband's oily paws. I have confidence that it too will last a very long time.
