What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

Nice pattern but fork tarnished after first wash. You would expect 18/8 not to tarnish
We have our original sets from when we got married 10 years ago. The weight and design has changed slightly. Our original sets had a good weight and a thicker handle. The new set has a thinner handle and is lighter weight. They’re great though!
I purchased this to add to my set of Aidan silverware, which I’ve had for years. They changed the silverware (without indicating that anywhere) and now it is MUCH lighter, thinner, and cheaper feeling. I emailed customer service and they said they did it to cut costs. Perhaps it would be a good idea to put in the listing “Updated Version: [Year Change Was Made]” as it does not match the older version of Aidan.
Bought two sets to replace my previous set of non-Nambe flatware. What an upgrade! This flatware is beautiful! The weight on them is nice and they clean up beautifully. I do not use the dishwasher, prefer to wash my dishes by hand. This flatware maintains its shine, at least after daily use over a month. Highly recommend!
I was looking for flatware to replace my existing set of 30 years, and I wanted something that will last just as long. I am very happy with this purchase. Price, quality, style and weight is perfect. I have many Nambe pieces and I have never been disappointed.
The handles are so small, they fell through the the standard size silverware hold in the dishwasher. Had to buy something with small holes so they didn't fall through.
Nice. But not like the prior version. About 1/3 the weight of the set we got 10 years ago. Would pay more for th previous version.
Poor Quality. Hand feel is not good. Quality has tumbled. I returned and will never consider name flatware again.
Awesome product. Sturdy, durable and keeps its beautiful appearance. I have a set and this set is part of my son’s wedding gift. Best flatware ever!
